what casues this? im playing prot pala in pvp and i noticed this a lot happening

u need to explain more specifically, whats the scenario, like what class u're facing, etc. for example, dk with spellshattering rune can deflect 4% of all spell damage, warrior can use spell reflection, or could be just the damage from damage shield or retaliation from warrior.

when your "Hammer of the Righteous" is parried, it is showed as "deflected".
