Character missing on account after disconnect

Hello,
I have a serious problem.
I had a character lvl 75 in ghost mode because I have not played for a while on it.
After server went down, when I logged in again it was missing.
How can this be possible?
Can someone from GM team help me?
The character has been leveled on Icecrown realm long time ago.
I do not unterstand.

I dont understand either what you are saying. Is character missing when you were playing and got disconnected and when you logged back in, there was no character? Or did you not played the game for a long time and character is missing? If thats the case, it was probably deleted in a cleanup

I was logged in on the account, preview mode before starting the world and then server broke down with a long disconnect.
After that when re-logged on the account the character (which was from the last time dead - ghost mode) vanished.
I cannot explain that.

I regret the fact that I could not take a snapshot as a plaintiff, but how could I know that this could have happened?

Can my char from the source of the server can be retrieved? Please help me.
