How come the site says there are 12000 people playing onyxia rn while the client says that it has low pop?

I'm guessing it's a bug cause there's definitely a high population on Onyxia.

I was once given to understand that the server pop metric shown in game is based in part on characters created and not active online players, so it may just remain low until it has had more characters created to be closer to lordaeron's stats.
