    Novel Battleground Fix Idea

    These may not work out in practice, but I'm posting this in the context of maybe giving them a trial in some way to assess their potential:

    1) Instead of mercenary, eliminate completely the concept of factions during battlegrounds (this has been proposed by others, I know).
    2) Instead of brackets at level 80, calculate the total gear score of the strongest team, and add players to the weaker team over the battleground maximum to the second team until the total gear score matches the strongest team. This might be tweaked to have a percentage of the missing gear score being filled by extra players, when casuals versus casuals (perhaps 80% of TGS gap). For premade vs premade, the rule wouldn't apply. For premade versus casuals, probably 100% of the gap should be filled by extras.

    Example: Arathi Basin. Strong Team GS90K, Weak Team GS60K. Algorithm compensates and finds an additional 6 players for another 30K. Match begins 15 vs 21. That's the gist of it.

    That's true and not a problem. People still get one shotted but people can also disrupt with ninja of flags or CC etc. It evens out.
