I put my character on trade and lost over 2k in gold

I had ~14 cut, red gems on auction house and some random recipe worth over 1k gold. For fun I put my character on trade not thinking too much about it, removing it the next day to play it. To my horror, my entire auction house was wiped clean and my gold lost. Is there hope of restoring it?

No way to restore. It's like Trade is supposed to be something more serious than "for fun".
