i came across this quest chain and got curious. why is this not in the game? it involves the 4 nightmare portals etc.

Weeeeell... Maybe because Warmane has nothing to do with SoD? Or it is such hard concept for you to grasp upon?

Not a single "classic" in WoW has anything to do with what Warmane provides.
Neither does "season of discovery".

If you want to ask why there's no A, B, or C in Warmane, ask yourself, was this in retail 3.3.5, or other patch Warmane provides.
