how much is hit cap for raid? 5% is good?
for Cata? 17% spell hit is cap
Enhance hit cap is like most hit caps at around 8% on wotlk (7% if your dranai)
its around 240 or 260 (cant remember) it counts towards spell hit too.
you should also aim to have 20 expertise rating, no higher here on molten.
AND always dps where possible from behind, less chance of a parry and dodge.
Don't mind about the melee hit cap since it is more than 20% due to dual wielding, as long as you have 17% spell hit thats enough.
Your caps are:
8% (9%) for Physical special moves (Stormstrike).
17% for spells (LB, Shocks).
27% for auto-attacks.
As for how much hit rating you need to reach them, it depends on your talents and the version of the game you're playing.
Darkdeeds is right. At least 17% is necessary to make sure both your yellow attacks and spells never miss. Anything above is welcome but don't go out of your way trying to reach 27%; that's just nearly impossible to achieve without sacrificing a lot of dps.
