So, I wanted to roll an enhancement shaman for PVP, I will do some arenas too with a skilled prot paladin(don't insta-roflcopter, he's good). So, first question is - are enhancement shamans capable of dealing enough damage in PVP before dying, and are they not too squishy? Also, is it a good idea to roll an enh sham to do 2v2 with prot pally? You can recommend any other classes, but basicly, i like being melee and dealing burst damage.
They're definetely not "too" squishy,but are usually ignored most games.
Most common partners for enhansement shams are either Hunters or paladins.
One of my favorite combos in the game- enhancement shaman. They are great if you know how to play,can win almost every class. But they are hard,so need some patient to understand every single aspect of the class. And I have no idea how they will be on Molten...
It's private server, you can't know until you try it after bug fixes. It could be different compared to retail shamans. So just wait and try.
I play an enhancement shaman in neltharion.
I can ensure you that enhancement will be great with 4.3.4 because of the changes blizzard did to us. But if you want to win some combats, you need to train a lot. this is not a class that you can get it up and burst somebody like one shot macro faces, thats not going to happend.
Enhancement is one of the hardest classes to play with. But if you master it, you will not be disapointed, especialy in 4.3.4 ;) give it a try
Shaman enha is definitely viable in pvp. But here there are still major bugs that cripple a lot the spec like maelstrom proc chance or windfury. When all these issue will be fixed enha shaman will be great in combo with a rpally. In bg is one of - or maybe the funniest- class ever, powning ennemies with the strengh of the wind, fire and lightning; the animation of the spells are just amazing. oneshottig clothies with windfury and laugh in their faces when you wind shear the crap out of them is just awesome.
yes its viable but maelstrom weapon not procing on shields and absorbs is a big problem that should be solved
Actually , I am playing enhancement shaman since TBC , they've never been overpowered , everyone ignores them , but in fact they are pretty good , in 4.3.4 they'r buffed instead of 4.0.6 , stormstrike , lava lash , maelstrom proc ... so .. if you want to have a fun and try something new , run for it !
most fun spec out of all classes i ever played in wow. awesome in duels, needs specific comps to work in arenas. seems really strong so far in 4.3
I Play with a Prot Pala in 2vs2 we are at 2k rating atm , i'd say it only works becouse my prot pala patner its realy Good , but i wouldent recomend it to anyone else .
As Far as the Ignored Part ... Well in Arena if they ignore me its a won game for us , in Bg's well those that know me run away from me :) , in duels well you can win pretty much any class if you do it right .
As far as the dps goes ... i think iv been reported afew times becouse of that .
The Bugs that we have atm that make it harder to get further in arena rating are :
Searing totem not attacking the same target as you : this cuts down your dps and any "burst " oportunity you have , and makes it hard to attack more than 1 target efectively
The maelstrom gains ; very low proc rate its depresing to allways have a "cast bar " on hex or in any kinda of healing and it does not proc when your dmg its absorv so if you get a team with a priest in it .. you can imagine .
Grounding totem : simple dont work , you have to take pyros , sheeps , lava bursts .. that could be esay avoided
Earthen Power : its supose to move snares from you and you'r parther when you put down you earthbind totem , its a very usefull talent but atm it takes 4 ou 5 sec to actuly remove the snare so its kinda depresing
