Does anyone else have trouble fighting mages? I mean yea i can wind shear them but then (depending on the spec) they can just blink away/los/cc and wait or something for their spells to reset, then just start anew.
Another thing is their silence. It seems like once im silenced, im pretty much helpless until it goes away, which gives them plenty of time to take advantage of that window and just blow me up.
Anyone got some tips? Kind of at a loss here.
Eh u can always use ur totems while silenced,also if mage stays close save thunderstorm to interupt his cast when ur stunned
You should have absolutely no trouble vs mages as ele. You virtually counter them in 1v1 situations.
Strangee has good suggestions, use them. Also, after a mage blows CS, they are ripe for a hex. Just by merely starting the hex cast you can force them to blow all kinds of cc to avoid it like iceblock/deepfreeze/dragonbreath.
You should control the fight. In between windshear/Grounding/Stoneclaw you can mitigate almost all mage bursting. And 1 sold hex is a game changer.
You should remember about Nature/Fire, for instance if you feel like being CSed you should put Grounding totem, like before Healing yourself or casting ANY nature spell. It is important to NOT being CSed at nature spell.
