It does not work in WOTLK at the moment.
I believe spell penetration works to a degree. Right now, it's not possible to fully resist a spell through spell resistance, however spell resistance still reduces the spell damage taken. Therefore you should probably get at least 54 spell penetration to counter mark of the wild, and if you find yourself up against a lot of paladins that are smart enough to use fire/frost aura you should get 130.Quote:

Fairly soon (at least I hope) spell resistance will work properly due to AT/Blackrock fixes coming through at which point having 130 spell penetration will be as important as being hit capped. Especially for warlocks, priests and death knights.
