Yes they are worth playing. In my opinion, only play casters on sub 150 ping. The latency on spell casts is kind of a dps loss.Quote:

For sure. On warmane casters are penalized heavily by latency - much moreso than on retail (and also moreso than the AT realms). There is a very noticeable lag time until the next spell begins casting. This pretty much cripples the DPS of anyone who has more than 300-400 latency who plays a class that's cast-bar based.Quote:

In 10hc raids, there will always be a boomkin. It's harder to do Lady and LK without one, and that isn't taking into account the wide array of spell based buffs a boomkin provides on its own. I'd also like to disagree with the ele shaman bit, boomkins are in far higher demand than an ele because they have more essential utility, and because they (SHOULD) do more dps at all gear points.
It's also very easy to start playing boomkin, as they scale quite well with lower gear and the rotation is quite straight forward
