heal dps class

I'm not sure what class to roll to main heal but have good competitive dps os I enjoy all healers but want a caster dps so that rules out paladin

So.. Priest probably would be your best bet. They can output some pretty good dps.

Was thinking priest but didn't know the state of their dps as I don't see many spriests about

They're honestly pretty good. Most any class/spec can raid, just aslong as you're gonna accept that warriors and ret paladins can easily out-dps you. Guilds are going to want Priests in their raid groups hence their Stamina buff which no other class gives. I always wanted one in my raid group so it shouldn't be hard to start raiding.

Edit: I had a spriest in my guild that topped 45k dps on most any ds boss. He wasn't even in full bis
