Cata / MoP rading difficutly?

I just wanted to ask what is generally the harder expansion (for PvE content). I've played WOTLK end-game, then skipped two expansions and played WoD on retail for some time. So I'm wondering, what's a more challenging experience for PvE. MoP or Cata?

Well cata since the bosses are actually ''working'' and heroic mode is out.... Which provides some challange... We cannot know how hard it is on MOP till we get heroic TOT and Soo..

As far as what's toughest on Molten, the above poster is correct.

IMO, the most challenging encounters remained at about the same level of difficulty from middle Wrath on to the end of MoP. Yogg, Arthas, Nefarian, Rag, Spine of Deathwing, Lei Shen, etc. In Cataclysm, though, you might get an entire tier like Firelands with only one super-challenging encounter (Ragnaros), whereas in MoP's Siege of Orgrimmar, the final three bosses (Blackfuse, Paragons, and Garrosh) were all stout bosses. Of course, the first half of Siege was a joke, whereas only Shannox was really free loot in Firelands.

Both expansions have their merits, and depending on how you want to raid both expansions it could be hard or very easy. If you have Dragon Soul gear and do Firelands, of course Firelands heroic will be much easier to clear. Dragon Soul heroic is ergo the only real alternative for harder raiding content as it matches your gear level. The only real reason you would wipe in older raids is if you are not executing the phases in any proper sense, atleast at most raiding bosses in that expansion.

As for MoP, MoP cannot compete with Cataclysm in its current form. Only NM mode is released for Throne of Thunder, and there is only one heroic mode available for raiders and that is for mogu'shan vaults.

So, if you want to progress through raiding content, start with Cataclysm for difficulty.

Have you guys even tried the DS out right now? It's a joke compared to what it was pre-Moltdown. Idk if the current DS is scripted like retail but it is just too faceroll... though I could be wrong about later bosses.

Morchok HC in under a minute? C'mon.

I remember doing DS HC at Spine and Zonozz when every CD had to be managed just to survive those damn bastards hehe. Fun times.

We haven't tried current DS HC, because we moved to Pandaria. ^^

It has become a joke now. Pugs are going 7/8 HC, spine is the only fight with any challenge left.

i dont think there is hard pve content here i dont know for sure because i havent cross referenced the numbers of bosses but when pugs do 7/8 heroic it is save to assume that any content released is in a state when it was nerfed on blizz servers no prenerf bosses.
