Is VISA/MASTERCARD payment option realy safe ?

Yes...the title puts the question.

I mean really you click the donate button and u get those options and specifically VISA/MASTER CARD which asks you for all of your card info just like that it just feels like i am freely giving my card info to the internet.
MY questions are :

What makes it a safe way ?

What is guarding all of your info ?

Have you done it and did you have any problems after ?

I dont really know what makes it safe but I have used that way for donation many times and have donated to molten/warmane since 2012 with the same card have never had any problems.
