The other thread is locked but it was confirmed that icc launches with the 30 % buff. I cannot expres how dissappointed I am by this, this is not blizzlike and it gimps the instance a lot.
Why was this decision made? Are you afraid people cant rush through the raid fast enough? Dont you like your server to live longer? Or do you just want to make the hardcore realm more easy?
Really? Where is that post? Just curious cause if that is true then it's not the way it should be... It started with no buff and then it was 5 10 15 20 and then 30%.... So that's breaking the progression thingy...Quote:

Would make no sense releasing ICC with 30% buff (or even 5%) on this kind of realm in which they even disabled Dungeon Finder and content is planned to be released (sort of) progressively.
Well I'm fine if they release the buff at start, as long as they give us the possibility to turn it off like it was on retail when the buff was there. So everyone can experience icc in a difficulty they want.
I think it would be the best idea to wait until Lich King 25hc has been killed before enabling the buff.
To be honest i don't think they should have the buff at all... They should progress like they did on retail by slowly introducing the buff and then increasing it as times goes by... I'd prefer the buff to never exist but that's my opinion.
Impossible. Best guild of the world back in the days were able to kill 25hc LK with 5% and thats with hundreds of tries and they got lucky at their last. Kiting enrage LK for 10 secs or so with 10 ppl alive? xdQuote:

Not per se. The world first happened at 5%, yes, but that doesn`t imply that there weren`t guilds that were able to down it without it eventually (you can disable it, you know).Quote:

This wouldnt be a "Hardcore" Realm if they gave us a nerfed Icc after that raid being out for such a long time.
You have to take into account that this kill was made more than 7 month after the ICC patch release, and 4month after their world first kill. Which means by then they pretty much compensated the 5% buff they had on their first kill by being overgeared (halion came out in between too). At the time the world first happened (with 5% buff) most top guilds were arguing about the fact that the boss couldn't be downed before the 10% buff given the gear they had at this time.
Given what I just said, I guess -if we don't have the buff from start- we'll just get, like it was back then, a progressive buff going up by 5% each "X" weeks. (that's the most blizzlike way) Because if we really wait for guild to kill him without the buff, you'd better be ready to wait a whole lot of time to see the first LoD achievements on the realm.
Anyways it's up to the staff who work on the Lordaeron content to decide how they want it, and I'm pretty sure they already discussed a bit about it but it's far from being a priority right now given how far we are from the ICC content release.
Well, if you take into consideration that this realm is gonna stay on 3.3.5a and there will be just one more raid added after we manage to kill that LK once, it would be somewhat of a better thing to have a hard "Endboss" rather than a realm where you can clean the hardest boss after 1 month in a decent guild.
When i came to Ragnaros before the Moltdown, i played about 3 weeks on my mage till i got geared enough and could join the LK kills. Afterwards there was nothing else to do regarding raids, people had no motivation to go for anything else, and i got bored of the realm and left.
I think for a healthy and competetive realm you have to make an ultimate challenge, like Icc could be without the buff.
Well for people that will do full ulduar normal and hard modes doing icc with the 30 % buff even with t9 gear is going to be like a walk in the park.****ing ez mode.Thats why staff and developers need to seriously consider releasing the buff from the start coz it will mean the server will live less coz hardcore players and guilds will finish icc in no time.It should be like it was retail
