Ive been trying to figure this out because its irritating me. I set my settings and close the game, when I click into the game again my settings and everything have been reset and I cant figure out how to fix them. I have been told that its either the Cashe folder or the WTF folder but anything further has yet to happen. Please help me out people.
Don't take my word for this cause I know nearly nothing about this **** but I believe it has something to do with your rights (of your account on the computer) at editing your folders.
I'd suggest trying opening WoW as administrator.
im the administrator on my computer so idk
I believe this is an issue that can be resolved if you enable read/write permissions for your client. I'm not sure how to do that since I use a Mac but there are plenty of resources online on how to do this.
Your WoW folder is marked as Read Only.
This question should be added to the FAQ since I see it posted here every day.
