Account problem

Hello, Im not the person who have the problem, its a friend, but he dont have much idea about about this server, he is new.

So, the problem started today when he was playing in Ragnaros, and the server got down for a few minutes.
So my friend tried to log after the server comes back, but the problem is; when he log in his account, after handshaking and validate information, gets a message saying: "You have been disconnected from the server", so, was like the server still down.
1-2 Hours later, he tried again, but again the same message "You have been disconnected from the server"

Then, when he told me that, I tried from my computer log in his account, and hey, Im able to log in his account from my pc/ip, but he still cant log in his account.

So, then I said him change the password, then, he tried log again, but now he gets the following message, "The information you have entered is not valid"
Well, I can log in his account with the new password and Im still able to log, but he still CANT log in...

I dont understand nothing, I can log in his account but he cant, and he is the owner of the account.

I have the same problem right now. Right after i choose a realm to log onto i get the same message...

And me too..It started today with me as well, I was wondering if I have network issues but my internet connection just doing fine so I don't understand :(

I'm facing the same issue today. getting disconnected all the time after choosing the toon or before. like there is a timer, and right after it ends, i get disconnected

It might have something to do with the ongoing Ddos attack , if you keep getting disconnected, try several times, it should work.
I used to have the same problem (getting disconnected after the "handshaking - connected" message) , some moderator said to just keep trying because when there's a Ddos attack on the servers, too many connections at one time get rejected. Just keep trying and don't give up after 2 failed attempts.

Warmane's mitigation might be the cause of your friends issue. However, make sure your friends realmlist is correct.
