Instance porting

i want to ask Staff,
when you will start with porting older instances to Cata realm,
as you mentioned before. -mostly bc instances-

That's probably the main reason I stopped playing Cata after I cleared FL and DS ages ago. I'd like an answer on this one too. I'm guessing "we'll get it from Lordaeron" won't work here since it's a different expansion. And if that is the case, then this means you can get it done after you're done with Lordaeron, and then with the porting to the other WotLK realms, so this means probably no sooner than 1 year.

The Cata realms only offer a partial end-game content, which is only partially scripted. Basically, once you're done with that there's absolutely no reason to play there...

all instances and later raids will be ported to cataclysm soon.. how soon is a matter of how difficult it would be to rewrite mechanics in cata code from current Lordaeron wotlk code or something along those lines, I'm not experienced with WoW coding... an old rough estimate of when some dungeons might be ported over is 3-6 months

As we progressed through classic content on Lordaeron - all dungeons and raids in vanilla have been reworked or fully rescripted from scratch. All of these scripts will be prepared and made ready for release on Cataclysm. After the release of burning crusade on Lordaeron, we will follow the same procedure and also port the new content to Cataclysm as soon as it is polished. Several exploit and stability fixes will also be applied over the next couple of days. We expect to start porting instances to Cataclysm later this month.

as u can see the staff already found a solution for this. we just need to be patient and hope green_dev will continue fixing stuff on nelth :D
tbh i rly hope that we get atleast one or two raids (even vanilla raids would be awesome :P) till january next year but i saw somewhere it will take 3-6 months but idk if thats true or not

depends if they want to slowly open bits of it or open all at once I guess... no idea on the actual inner workings and stuff

I stopped playing cus of this reason , there is literally nothing to do , i started playing again 2 days ago . Cata is so dead af , look at the population , barely 1.5k online. Just transfer chars from warsong to nelth , they can pvp on nelth also xD there is no need for a realm with 100 people. it doesnt matter if they got their gear for free at this point
