Loot and Need Before Greed!
As a junior player of wotlk I do not know much about the mechanics in-game as well as the development of the gameplay. However I walked through a issue that resembles the Vanilla and TBC feature. The Need Before Greed thing. As a personal gameplay and a subjective one I cannot bear the unchanged Loot mechanics. What I am trying to say is that I level up on a priest and I was doing a few Dungeons (level 10 to 30) and it seemed strange THAT I can NEED a mail item OR an axe one, or 2h weapon except the staff. As I know the system of looting (especially the need before greed one) changed in 3.3 patch, and so I quote:
"Before patch 3.3.0, the Need before Greed Loot Level only took into account whether or not you could use the item now, not in the future. This means that if a mob drops a piece of mail requiring level 37, the level 36 warrior in the party would not be able to roll on it. Similarly, a level 39 hunter would not be able to roll on mail items even though they would be able to use it next level.
At patch 3.3.0 the system was changed so Need Before Greed will now recognize gear appropriate for a class in three ways: the class must be able to equip the item, pure melee will be unable to roll on spell power items, and classes are limited to their dominant armor type (ex. paladins for plate). All items will still be available via Greed rolls as well as the new Disenchant option should no member be able to use the item. Also, players will be able to roll on items with a required minimum level higher than then player's current level. " SOURCE: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Need_Before_Greed
I want to know if anyone is aware of this error of the feature, and if there will be solved anytime soon cause people can just NINJA everything and no one will care afterwards. I tired to look it up on the forum but couldn't manage to find another post about this! I DO find this VERY important!
EDIT: also the same system applies for the materials and stuffs for professions.
