Bewildered at marketplace decision.

No one has a problem with warmane trying to make money out of something they've put a lot of hard work into,

what we do have serious issues with is the pay to win situation which has occured today.

I guess that was one way of fixing the queue, by kicking out hundreds of players that trusted the company to stick to their word. It was the first time I ever thought of a private server as "blizzlike".

I absolutely loved the server and the "memorable adventure", but when I heard the news I feel completely disheartened and can't be bothered to invest any more time into, what was, in practice and ideology, a brilliant server.

The reason I abandonded other servers for this one, was to avoid the whole pay to win scenario, which sucked all the fun and competition out of it - leaving it as a husk of the game it attempted to emulate.

On a side note, isn't it funny how they won't enable RDF in order to create a "memorable journey", yet now you can donate and mess up everyone else's memorable journey.

I'd happily pay 5 euros a month for a NON pay to win, most complete and functioning server, which Lordaeron was up until a few hours ago.

I'd never donate 50 euros for a 2H Pvp weapon, but I would more than happily pay 5 euros a month. They could make it even less like three euros. And five euros with queue jump -- No one would be complaining.

What people Are complaining about is the P2W situation which has unraveled just now.

Some ideas -- With the huge amounts of people playing on this server, envoking a 2 or 3 euro a month charge would actually rake in a huge amount of money for Lordaeron.
-- Or they could keep it free as it is now, but envoke a 5 euro 'premium' member. Queue jumps, and fun vanity items. Each month you get a ''mystery box''. Would contain 100% a pet, 100% chance of obtaining a random amount of fun items: dragonbreath chili, snowballs, picollo of the flaming fire etc. and a much lower % chance to contain a mount - ANY mount.

Many many people would happily pay for something like this.

It would keep everyone happy. Without the steep steep costs of 50 euros for items which only promote hate and division amongst the community. Instead, for 5 euros a month and some bonus prizes, the donators would be actually encouraged and revered instead of flamed and causing server imbalances. IMO.

That is SO well put. Exactly how I feel. Let's just hope for the best because apparently, action is being taken.

1. They never claimed the realm to be blizz-like. That was a labeled applied by uninformed people.
2. It can never be truly blizz-like until they invoke a $15/month service charge. So unless you want that to happen, I highly recommend that you try and help support them in another method of making money to support the server that you find acceptable.
3. The later half of #2 is the only thing that can save you from p2w, and sadly, people don't just give money to private servers out of the kindness of their hearts.

I mean it's nice that they are raising money to maybe get better servers, to do something for the lag. If they actually go for that better server. Tbh, so far I've only been disapointed with the server.

"Most complete server"
While almost all tbc raids bugged, as did most bosses in wotlk, as did countless spells on players, as did countless quests including almost all quests in icecrown and stormpeaks. Wintergrasp and VoA still not working.

"Wont be pay to win"
Even tho they tried to put ilvl 213 to the store, and even after the complaints, you can still buy full hatefull gear, including weapons. While other pvp players cant even go for weapons with +4k cost and 200-400 / week arena points. I also like how you f*cked up the economy by putting darkmoon cards and other boe items in there, that was a nice touch. I feel sorry for anyone who farmed their *** off and paid 25k for it a week earlier.

All I have to say is GG warmane, wasn't fun while it lasted and lost rest of my hopes of this server ever getting better.

There is another server with just as many people as Lordaeron, yet they don't even have a donate link on the main page, you have to look it up in the F.A.Q. section or ask a moderator for it. Which makes you wonder just how much money this server needs. I feel like vanity items would be plenty to support the server.

Low level gear vs. epic gear, both are pay to win, but one has a more considerable impact.

Drama queens... Boo ****ing hoo, someone donated a **** ton of money and got an item. Naxx is already cleared, Realm First taken, what do you expect? Them to wait for everyone to get geared up then release the items? You think server works on what? Your tears? Guess again... Money. You cry about how they should increase cap, how do you think they do it? They take your wishes, put it into the server and now it magically can hold 15k online without lag and crashing?

They said Marketplace won't affect Realm First, and it didn't. What more you want? You think they can wait 6 months in order for every lazy *** out there to clear Naxx and then to open Marketplace? Also, if you think it's so Game Breaking that few people donate for 1-2 items, then leave. You think people are donating now 1000+ coins to get fully geared? ***** please... You can donate as well, it's no ones problem you don't want to or can't afford. Description of marketplace said that it will be in tiers, for example once Ulduar is released then marketplace will let people purchase Naxx gear. So as for now, they could definitely allow people buy HC dungeons rare/epic 200ilvl gear, but why the **** would they allow people buy 213 items. Only because 2 bosses drop 226 items, doesn't mean 213 items should be in the marketplace. Spoiler Alert !!!!!

Tiers: Tier 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 by raid content, not by item levels please.

So many people transferred to this server just because the idea of it and how it went step by step, gold drain system and disabling rdf for players get full game experience. Right now, so many people feel disappointed, because server fell into " just an ordinary wotlk server p2w " category. If they have money issue, ffs make subscription, i would pay certain amount of money for it. Not $15, but $5 please take it. 10k players x $5 each month = $50k a month, i think it will cover that expense of maintaining everything. As for admins and all of the Warmane staff members, please don't fu*k up like that. You know what people are looking for, you know even better how much work you put into that project. And it's so easy to mess everything up, don't do that mistake guys. Thank You.

And that's pretty much the problem: so many people transferred here, and so few of those actually help fund the costs that come with it. Our service providers aren't "in for the fun," so we have to adapt in ways that will make our costs get covered. It's as simple as that.
