they work fine for me, maybe you are doing something wrong?
I noticed my spider pet wouldn't attack in shallow water in Zul'drak, same as my shale spider on Cata in the marshy area of Tol Barad. I swapped to a non-spider pet and he attacked fine in both cases.Quote:

This is a common issue with water mobs, as a melee, you need to be right in their face, at same level, or they start with evade crap, its not specific to pets. Try to lure them to even ground or go inside and melee them down a bit I suppose.
