Can't connect to realmlist

So I updated MoP to the latest patch and now the game doesn't seem to recognize realmlist.wtf and tries connecting to blizzard servers.

-I looked through these forums for fixes
-I've tried taking off read-only
-I've tried erasing file and just putting in SET realmlist "logon.warmane.com"
-realmlist.wtf keeps the logon.warmane.com but doesn't connect to it.
-I deleted the whole WoW folder and redownloaded torrent
-I redownloaded WoW.exe from these forums
-I've tried Run As Administrator just to see if it would help

I'm not sure what else to try, any ideas?

that message appears when you type a wrong password.
Anyway if you think it is a client problem then forget about your MoP folder and go here: https://www.warmane.com/download , get "MoP minimal", once download is completed close your torrent, move "MoP minimal" away from your Torrent's downlaod destination.
Now right click on "MoP minimal" folder>properties> remove "read-onl" then start wow.exe
