Just write openwow url on the URL BBCode, such as [ URL = "http://openwowitem "]Name[/URL] (no spaces)
I tried this [ url=http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=50818][/url] but didnt work

you can literally post the direct link to the item and it will automatically parse it as the tooltip and item link. No need to add the [url] stuff.
