Elemental shaman fight-help

Hello guys,
Im playing lot of classes here but now I started to play elemental shaman. Currently Im 501, with mixed gear for enha/ele but main problem is how to fight vs melee? Duels, bg 1v1 situations? I find ele very powerfull in rbg if you have healer behind or not targeted but when you are targeted you are screwed.

Ok, Im playing mage mostly frost and fire. 515. Fire is little harder for me cuz I rely on crits and you have less cc but both are powerfull. As a frost I find fights vs melee not that hard at all. I mean I have blink, pet and frost nova, slow via bolts, deep, ice block, poly, burst speed and beside that nice damage.


Well Im noob as ele, and not that geared as with mage but I find like Im lacking cc a lot. I have a hex and wind shear. Thunderstorm can be not that good especially vs warrior who can charge in the air... Totem is predictable. So when they are on me- dk,war, pala etc I just dont know what to cast first? Should I countinue with dmg? Which totem to use first? Hex maybe and make a distance?

Is elemental really not that good 1v1 class?

I never had any issues with melee at all.

Earthbind Totem and Frost Shock are your friends.
Also keep Healing Stream totem down 100%.

Purge HOF and Selfless Healer, Cap totem (glyphed) if they try and lock you down. Don't be afraid to pop ascendance to try and kill them before they get to you, also if you can thunderstorm into a Spiritwalker's + Ancestral Guidance and spam heal yourself.


Don't Thunderstorm while Earthbind is down they will not be pushed away.

Flame Shock is first always, regardless of class, then Earthbind, into an ascendance + Unleash > Lava Burst spam.. Once over then Lightning Bolt spam until you get LB procs, once earthbind is over use Frost Shock to slow... Keep Thunderstorm for their stun (Stormbolt, Asphyx, HOJ)

Im using similar talents except Earthgrab totem and stone bulwark.

Also for glyphs its: hex, light shield and shamanistic rage for now but I see ppl using capacitor and thunderstorm.
Also frost shock advice is what I need to take.

Cap Totem, Lightning Shield and Thunderstorm.
Sham Rage is only effective against casters really, not much use against a melee.

I wanna add for whoever looks at this post for help that glyph of sham rage can free you from pally stuns when it comes to melee opponents.
