Proposal - Ragnaros Guild Wars

Hello everyone I am Justmarried, an officer of VIRTUS. Due to the fact that Ragnaros right now is not in its best shape. For this reason I am proposing something new and exciting all for the sake of fun. Officers of VIRTUS and Triumph are happy to propose a this time of event in which every guild can participate.

Guild Wars

The idea is simple - a 10v10 fight between guilds (guild can also have more than 1 group) in Warsong Gulch (by queueing only Warsong Gulch using the AV Enabler addon). If there is a situation in which both guilds are on the same faction we are hoping that by speaking to the Community Managers (something which we are actively in the process of doing) we could either fix an arena (similar to the 40v40) or alternatively get both teams into a battleground. We’re not sure if this is technically possible but it would be good to see happen.

The purpose of this is to create a fair and controlled environment for a fight. We want Ragnaros’ PvP community to be more active than it is right now so by doing this we hope that it will give other guilds a new objective to aim for.

[Alternative] 5v5 Skirmishes (this would of course be much easier to implement).

Rules:

• Only guild members.
  
• You can use any kind of communications (Skype, RaidCall, TeamSpeak, etc.)
  
• You can use any kind of gear no matter gearscore.
  
• If a member is disconnected, the fight will continue and it will not be stopped.
  
• You can use feasts, flasks etc. Any kind of exploit in the form of an item, spell or buff will result in your team/guild being disqualified from any potential competition.
  
• Keep your drama to yourself, we might have some difficulties sometimes, but this event is meant as friendly so please this time keep the bad words to yourself.
  
• And most important rule, HAVE FUN!
  

If you are the guild master, co-leader or officer of a guild (could be PvP or PvE, all are welcome) and are willing and able to be a part of this be sure to contact me on Justmarried (Ragnaros, Alliance). We would like to start a discussion with all parties involved so that we can make decisions that will be a good compromise for all. Due to new core on Ragnaros and wargames not working, event is postponed.

Giving a bump in this since the idea still pleases me.

Can we force this to happen once and for all?

To be honest with you, I would like to know something about merge of realms and maybe this can be one of the first things that Warmane could do after merge, bringing two realm guilds in one place and see how we all do in terms of Guild wars would be actually a fun thing.

Perhaps if specific que worked 100% it would make this easier to do, until then its a pain

According to Warmane, we will get help so it most likely will not that be that big of a pain. Although some things need to be taken care of to see if they work correctly and as I said before, for now I would like to wait till merge.

When the specific queue would work correctly it would overlap with the random queue. Means there is always a high chance that u get randoms from random queue in ur arranged bg battle.

Yes but you would co-ordinate using pre-form if every1 dosent get the same que you leave, pretty simple i dont get ur point

My point is that the specific queue isn't isolated from the random queue so even when specific queue works its still hard to get two premades in the same bg without a single random player joining the battle.
