Ive been scanning 12% for 45 minutes. Apparently I have 5 hours left until its done. Thats a really long time.. What can I do about it?

I've read on multiple forums that both server size and connection speed have an impact on the scanning time. It takes me about 45 minutes to scan 50 000 auctions on Icecrown with a 26ms latency.
