Hello guys, I am pretty new at Wotlk(just played mop wod and cata), so I don't know well the gear setup. Some people told me to use heroic pve daggers instead of pvp daggers, but some of them told me dont be subtetly and use axe etc...
As far as I know from my blizzard experience, Wrathful Gladiator set should be the best one for pvp? Or in donation store there is Sanctified Shadowblade's Battlegear t10 ?
And what about weapons? Thanks for help. Sorry for noob question :D

ArP is around 70-%80% with talents, 27k hp unbuffed, 5% hit rating (164 hit, so satisfying).
I would like to change my neck for maybe Rimetooth Pendant HC, to get a bit more crit than haste, would have to try it out once i get one.

Yeah I saw everyone use the same main hand dagger, but what about off hand? Is it the best one u use?
The off hand speed between 1.4 and 1.5 doesn't make much difference. If you want more resilience, you can go for the fast off hand wrathful dagger and if you want more damage you can go for Scourgeborne Waraxe HC or Lungbreaker HC.Quote:

That's a subtlety setup btw, you probably know that mutilation rogues go for different stats anyway.

what spec are you. Each spec has different stat breakpoints that you want.
You can win stacking AP or Arpen but my general rule of thumb if people ask:
Do you plan to arena seriously in an attempt to get a title?
If YES, stack resil and AP, up to and including going full wrathful and switching trinkets to stuff like DV.
If NO, and you plan to arena half-heartedly or rbg often, go arpen to 95+%(use t10HC helm, offset, full arp gems) and be a glass cannon
Again, it's not impossible to play high level arena(at least here) while being a glass cannon, especially if your partner is quality, it's just easier to be more prepared for a variety of comps if you stick to resil/AP if you're going to be less of a bg hero and more of an arena player.

i havent played him much after moltdown but the gear is good . get the same amount of pvp and pve items .
replace:
belt with astrylian's sutured cinch
boots with frostbitten fur boots
thrown with hunter bow (forgot the name)
and make all the rele into wrath.
this will give you:
46% arp 1100 resil and near 5k ap or more.( can make it more than 5k ap if u drop 100 resil .its fine either way.)
this setup is ideal for all pvp platforms(bg arena duel).
most of the rogues with 400 resil and somethong like that usually have healers ,since i came over to the horde i dont have my pocket healer any more so its better off having more resil .
On deathwing no matter how much arpp u have there is no way you can beat a resil stcaked sm warr with only pure dmg ever since retaliate got fixed so its better to bleed him out while kiing in the deadzone .
also whatever you do dont stack agi.its a waste u dont get good ap and that crit dont matter and dont even think about that dodge its worthless..
although i suppose agi works on mut.
mutilate is a great spec but no mobility as of 3.35 i think sub>mut.

I need help. I'm trying to figure out HOW to get 1k resil with my gear. Apparently I have the "magic" mix of PvE & PvP items...however in order to get 40% ArP and 1.1k resil I would have to GEM RESILIENCE IN ALL SLOTS. Which would put me at around 50% ArP and 1040 resilience.
I have not seen ANYONE gemming resilience...I don't want to blow a ton of gold on this until I'm certain. I am JC, should I do 3x 34 resi or +68 AP x 3? Currently I have pretty much EVERY gem slot with +20 ArP...

What would you guys do? 27k HP / 200 hit (6.10%) / 53.73% crit / 76.17% ArP + 9% Serrated Blades / 5311 AP ... pretty much +20 ArP in all sockets. Will 34res x 3 make a noticeable difference? Should I just gem +68APx3 or re-gem lots of my ArP to resilience and try to get ~50% ArP w/ 1k res?
Ahhhh!!! Decisions decisions. Feel free to theorycraft with me.
It's less about theorycraft and more about how much you'd like to commit. You can feel the damage difference between 75% and 85% quite clearly, which is something that also works for anything below those numbers. But overall, 1k res is the maximum to not even needed, i'd always recommend running 900ish res if we are talking about 2v2 here, 700 and less for bgs, 1.1k-1.2k+ for 3s. The issue with resil vs arp is quite simple, you can very noticably feel every 10% of arp, while 100 extra resil means basicly nothing on this server. You picked a rogue where 80% of the people run best in slot, you WILL be taking a ton of damage no matter what your resil is at. So I'd say the basic concept should be, kill it before it kills you and 900 res is enough in 2's to not let you take unhealable damage.Quote:

You're supposed to burst to kill, or CC/position to escape - not to stand there to tank damage. Remember, you can choose your own fights in BGs.
Imho, just the 5/5 wrathful gladiator equipment is resilience enough for you. Change the necklace to the ARP stat one. Keep your ARP gems on your gear.
As you pilot your rogue better in time and practise, you'll need lesser and lesser resilience. You'll find more efficient ways to work with your cooldowns and making good decisions/set up to finish your fights without taking much hits, rather than.... gemming alot resilience and ending up with not enough burst while STILL taking significant damage, letting the fight last for longer than it should which forces you to blow through more cooldowns/make mistakes.
