new here, question about queue times.

i just started here about a week ago, i plan on being here long term. been on private servers for a while and i gotta say this one seems to be the best so far and exactly what im looking for as its a working wrath server with a good community, its hard to find.

however, most of my play time comes overnight on the weekends in EST time, and i have no problems there. but during the weekdays my time is a lot more limited, and im finding that i have very little chance to ever play during the week, because if i want to play for an hour or 2 when im able, i have to wait at least an hour for the queue. im not complaining, i understand its a sacrifice you make for a quality high-pop server, but i am told that a lot of nost refugees came here and is part of the huge population, and i was wondering that if the queue times have ever led to discussions about possibly splitting lordaeron into 2 servers and allowing transfers to eliminate the queue?

seeing how deathwing and ragnaros were merged prompted me to ask this question, obviously the server cares about population problems, and i was just wondering if maybe the was a future consideration to deal with the long queues.

again, im not griefing here, just wondering.

The solution seems to be to donate a few quid, but something for 5 or more coins from the Lordaeron store, wait a few minutes, then you'll get 30 days of queue-skip.

I'm guessing that you are not aware of the fact that there is at least 2 "plx increase the cap" posts every week.

They will increase the cap, as soon as possible, just like they have increased it in the past. It's not as simple as click a button and cap increased, if they increase the cap too fast they will mess up the server stability. Nobody likes playing with 30sec lag, let them take their time so we don't have to deal with that kind of lag.

Nobody likes the queue, but complaining about it is not really going to help. People that complain about it are also the people that don't care about supporting the server, because if they cared and donated, they wouldn't be sitting in queue.

Believe me, they are doing everything they can and will increase the cap when they can. Increasing the cap or opening another server requires money, feel free to help them gather it and donate.

There is also a way past the queue, which is with the queue-skip, here is how it works:
1. Donate money
2. Get coins for your donation
3. Spend at least 5 coins on a character on Lordaeron
4. Get 30 days queue-skip as a bonus for your purchase

Increasing the cap or opening another realm would be odd. There is only a queue for about half of the day. Server pop drops all the way down to 4k.
