I lot a lot of gold because of the merge!

Hi, I am new on the server. I literally only started playing several days before the merge happened, so I obviously had no clue it was a thing. In the short time I did play on the Ragnaros realm I farmed stuff that I would sell at the Auction House, and the night before the merge I put up for auction most of the things that I spent a lot of hours to farm - cloths, ore, leathers - about 600g worth of materials, and I had also bid on 4x 16-slot bags, 400g in total, which I was supposed to get by the next morning. Except the next morning I woke up to see that Ragnaros was no more and I read on the forum that "if you had stuff in the AH or mail you are dumb because you were supposed to know the merge was coming for such a long time." As a new player I did not get any notice that this was happening - and if it was announced in some dark corner of the forum then how was I supposed to know? This was poorly handled. We should have recieved e-mails 24h in advance! So please, admins, I lost roughly 1000g. For a level 32 character that's a lot. Please refund me at least part of that gold.

It wasn't "announced in some dark corner of the forum", it was on the "Latest news" section 3 weeks before the merge on the main "Deathwing+Ragnaros=Icecrown" post which was linked on the homepage and if you didn't read it then it's not our fault since forum is our main news and announcements channel. And, unfortunately, we never ever refunded gold.

In the future please consider notification by e-mail when something as big as this happens. Very dissapointed.

I've read your post with FAQ and information about the merge, where was it written specifically about this list of AH and mail items? I've not found it.

With the merge of the servers I've lost all the items in my AH, their value was around 50k/100k gold.

I hoped you had a tool/solution for refunding losts, quite disappointed about it, for things you don't buy with real money in a game in a private server.
