Need a gms help now .

so bassically ive been on molten wow for what has it been 6 years ? 7 ? im not sure its been a long long time and ive literally never broken one rule donated like hell cuz why not i love the hell out of this server and i always have ive been on ragnaros for soo long ive made soo many awesome friends there ... the wipe happend i lost my toons on molten but since i donated a ton even if i lost things that really matterd to me i stuck with molten there was literally one thing just one thing i had on this server and it was my toons names that have been wat they are for as long as ive been on the server my names i love and ive held close to me for these past few years and ur telling when i log on today for the first time in my entire life a gm opens chatt with me and tells me to force change my 3 only chars on the server and i know wat ppl will say "shut up its just names change and get over it " but i think this is really really unfair to me wat the heck have i done to deserve having to change my toons names after being such a loyal member to molten aka warmane for soo long being on rangaros i dont remember ever having a gm tell me that my names needed to be changed and ive spoken to almost 10000000 gms in the past so why today wat makes today soo special that the name ive literally rushed into the server after losing all my toons is now being changed by a gm in chatt ??? and why please explain to me

and i hope i dont magically get banned from forums cuz this is very unfair to me ive been on motlen from the very started and supported soo highly with donations and now my toon names that are the only things i have remaining on the server is gone all 3 of them cuz one random gm decided to message me ? when millions of them have in the past ? helping me with bugs and issues ? and hackers ?

if you only want to speak to a gm, than pm one http://forum.warmane.com/group.php?groupid=127 . although personally i don't find those offensive i can see how some people might, you can't tell me you don't know another meaning for the word hoe.

We all know which meaning of the word your chars name was supposed to include so you could have just skipped that part. It would definitely be against Blizzards char naming policy. Warmane doesn't have any written char naming policy but offensive names usually get forced rename when reported. If you think the GM did something wrong you should contact head GM Aldtharios.

I find that absurd, you've had your names for years and now they choose to forcibly change it.

anyone tell me who is my chars offensive to or hold ur comment please because ... aslong as ive been on this server warmane has always said that this server isnt a blizzlike server so i honestly do not see ur point of why my names were changed ive made hundreads of friends and strangers my names sure as hell didnt offend any of the ppl i know even those who may not like me that much so that actually makes no sense to me sorry ur point is invalid and i dont accept it

It might not really be offensive. I used that as an example since usually offensive names get forced rename. They usually do that only when someone reports the name. If you had it for 6 years then probably noone tried to report it til now. Since there is no written char naming policy it's unclear if the name should be allowed but don't pretend that it's supposed to have a different meaning. And I told you who to contact.

So basically the guy showed that the word aint offensive... therfore if that's the case ( some reported him ) it wont be fair from gm side... sadly i don't approve with some of the gm's decisions 2.... anyway i hope they see it through and realize that there is no point in changing your names... if the reazon was that some kido report your chars i bet that he did it just because.... no real reason :D no one here is offended by such words since most of the ppl in warmane are kids :) i mean cmon... they talk trash + not to mention that they have to ban like 1/10 of the realm for inappropriate names..

u are absolutely right concept im just hoping a gm pops up and treasts me the way im supposed to be treated after being here for so long and changes all 3 of my names back cuz im gonna be honest with u this is not going to make any sense but ... if i dont have my names then i dont want to play and ive never not played ive stuck with waremane through all the bs that has happend in the past but taking away my chars names make they empty for me an if they are empty i might aswell not play anymore

I agree. This case is really trivial... It's a name that is not offensive at all. Besides, he had the name for so long. Nothing happened, nobody got offended. Suddenly, someone appears like that ? That's some BS !

May 30, 2016 If your characters were 'randomly' forced name changed they would have been deemed offensive & thus force changed.

If you continue to use offensive character names it'd result in account suspension.

May 30, 2016 smyth how does this help me in any possible way my names werent offensive if spoken to gms hundreds of times suddenly i have to change 3 of my toons names ? seems like u didnt even look into this situation just gave me a quick answer im not satisfied sorry .

May 30, 2016 after supporting this server soo much id atleast want a decent answer as to why 5 year old names are suddenly offensive when im such an active player and speak to gms all the time is this how it works ? i lose my names and it doesnt even matter to gms and i cant even get a decent answer ? about why it got changed ?

We both know that such names can be interpreted in such a way to be offensive hence why your names were adjusted. Arguing the point will simply result in your access to this system being revoked. <----------(then the gm took away my ability to make tickets )


I'm not arguing, what I'd love to know though, is how I've been on this server for multiple years, spoken to countless amount of GMs on these toons, and no one has batted an eye, and now suddenly you all care about my names? Again, not arguing, would just love some kind of an explanation.
Also, would you like me to go out there and find every single name on the server I find offensive and you'll "adjust them accordingly" ? " but i guess not even somone like me who ha ssupported the hell out of molten and been a loyal player for this long gets a simple thing like this sorted out .

the other day i walked in dalaran saw a dude named virginpussi...another named hornymage ... few ppl with bich in their name soo many offensive names get walked passed so easily but cupcakehoe aparently is offensive congratz i give up.

wat if i thought the name smyth is offensive does that mean that the gm has to change his name ?? (no gm disrespect but thats wat happend to me bassically so is that how it works ? )

All this says is your names had slipped by - until now. It really shouldn't be anything that surprising. At times I find posts from over a month ago breaking some rule, that got lost in all the new ones. Do you believe I wouldn't give them proper punishment just because it was a while ago? Someone took notice of your names after years, someone who knows the slang meaning of the word, and who deemed it unfit for use. You were just lucky that it didn't happen before, that's all.

If you see offensive names, report them. Trying to use them as a "look, there are others too" isn't going to get your names approved.
