What healing abilitys do disc priest use in arena?

Im pretty new to disc and would like to know what healing abilitys u actually use in arena to out heal heavy burst dmg.

I guess the basic idea is to use mainly PW:S, Prayer of Mending, Renew and penance.
But what if all these abilitys are on cd and the target takes still heavy dmg? Do u spam flash heal or Binding Heal in this case?
Also is it worth to use greater heal after PW:S? With 5 points in divine fury and 5 points in borrowed time it should be possible to cast greater heal in under 2 sec.

Was thinking the same but its actually possible to cast greater heal in like 1,7 sec. With such a short casting time im curious if it should be used more frequently.

Shield, PoM, Renew, Penance and Flash Heal are your most important healing abilities. I don't find myself using greater heal ever, especially in this patch when haste is basically not really worth it to get and the heal itself is not very efficient without any talents, which you take when you are specced holy. As a rule of thumb, keep your shield up whenever possible and refresh your renew when it drops. Penance always over flash heal, since it's a very efficient heal. Binding heal is okay sometimes, but it's very mana intensive so be careful with using that too much.

Holy nova is also a decent heal if there is nothing else you can use and you have to, for example, switch your position. But it's also very mana inefficient.

How is 1.7sec a short casting time? Despite the fact that you are wasting 5 points in http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=18530, it's stll f*cking long. You can combine GH with http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=14751 to shield your tank. But other than that you shouldn't use it at all.

If you find yourself tank healing a lot (Imo Disc is the worst tank healer in this expansion) go for 3/3 http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=63504 instead.

Im going for a very offensive spec so the reduced cast time of smite comes in favor.

This gonna be most likely my spec: http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#bxI0uhGiRIokdRtfztc0b with glyph of smite, penenance and pain suppression.
Does http://cata.openwow.com/spell=47515 apply a dispellable magic effect on the target and what about http://cata.openwow.com/spell=27811?
Is it worth to put 1 point in each of these talents so the opponents have a harder time to dispell my buffs?

My plan is to roll double healer in 2v2 together with a insect swarm druide with a 21/00/50 spec.
Want to try something new and the setup doesnt look that bad. Both specs can pull some decent dmg and have nice CC with x3 cyclone followed by fear.
Against double dps comps it should be pretty easy to win. Just out heal their dmg and kill them slowly with dots and reflective shield. Against healer + dps it might be tricky though to land a kill.

We will see. 3x cyclone + fear on the ret paly should be enough time to land a kill on the other dps. All the dots combined with wrath, holy fire and smite spam can pull of some decent dps.

Important: you should never get Imp. Flash Heal -- it's a waste of 3 talent pts as the mana cost reduction is negligible and you have very low crit chance. You should also never get Reflective Shield, another waste of talent pts.

• If a player on your team isn't dying quickly, but is losing health, use Greater Heal -- it's more mana efficient than Flash Heal
• If a player on your team is being bursted down or just dying quickly, spam Flash Heal -- there's less chance of them dying that way, as you are providing a constant flow of healing to negate the opponents' burst on them; Penance also comes to mind in situations like this, but then it's just down to experience on whether to use it or not.

Why not reflective shield?
It deals some nice dmg so i dont understand why u dont take it when u already have such a offensive build.
I would put only 1 point in http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=47535 and two in reflective shield.
