I see a lot of guides for Enh Shaman stacking Attack Power Instead of Agility, even though to my knowledge 1 agility = 1 attack power at level 80.
Am i missing something here?

You are right: 1 point of agility provides more bonus (AP+melee crit, etc) then 1 AP.
What you miss here: how much agility and AP an item/gem/enchant provides? For example:

It is fun I can confirm that :) There is no strict stat priority for enh shaman. I think simulations on retail showed that stacking haste is a little bit more beneficial then stacking AP but the difference was not really significant. Then again Warmane != Retail so you should play with them and see which one is better for your playstyle. It requires some time and a good addon (e.g. ShockAndAwe) to play well with Enh...so probably just go Elem, it's much easier to master.
the problem is though, enh needs completely different stats than ele, and i have to mix and match for something that works for pvp and pve, so ele is the more all rounder for that purpose and is easier and more forgiving to learn.
so i think i'll aim for an ele shaman at lvl 80 and gear him up as such, then dabble around with enh.
AP compared to AGI is actually just like 150ap~~ traded for 2-3% crit so both are viable in PvP atleast
