I play with a group of friends who want to raid everynow and then.
We are not many and we are not elitistjerks.
Now we are haveing trubbels i naxx when our tank get 1 shoted by mechanics.
The 300% buff in naxx is hitting us too hard.
So now with ulduar relesed it migth be a good time to easy up for us noobs still struggeling in naxx?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lordaeron supposed to be a hardcore realm?
Yeah, it's supposed to be hardcore and most pve players actually like it. It's really not that hard to do Naxx if you actually put some effort into going there prepared. Learn how to play your class, farm stuff in heroic dugeons, enchant it, gem it, and use flasks. I'm pretty sure your tanks are just unprepared if they can't handle a single hit. You'll see, it's not that hard. Most players on Lord like the difficulty and we don't want more nerfs on Naxx. Please.
Just go on Icecrown if you don't like the rates. I think it's something like 300% xp so it shouldn't take long to be 80. Bosses are on normal difficulty so it's really, really easy. If you're calling yourself a "noob", you really shouldn't be playing PvE on a hardcore server and complain about it...
It's 700% xp but for some reason we have buffed bosses too, which I'm not complaining about but yeah it's there.Quote:

Im lvl 64 so far and everything seems to be between blizzlike and fun server. How is it hardcore? Slow lvling and no dungeon finder? Nah.
So buffed Naxx 10 man = hardcore realm? Its all bout this one raid?

Edit: Just read other topic about Naxx 10 got nerfed already, so might be ok :)
He is most likely asking, because he realizes that it is pretty dumb that Nax-10 is a lot harder than Nax-25, even though it yields worse loot. It should be the other way around. The fact that you need Nax-25-level equipment to perform well in Nax-10 is absurd. It makes no sense at all.Quote:

Just because the community agreed to buff raid encounters doesn't mean that there can't be a discussion about the degree of such a buff.
Naxx10 is totally stupid currently, people aren't being killed by mechanics of bosses in there, but simply by the raw numbers they have been buffed with. Heroic geared tanks are being oneshot by soft enrages ffs. Try doing Naxx10 with a heroic geared group and see how much you can clear, bosses are overbuffed to hell, when you need Naxx25 gear to clear Naxx10 there's a clear problem.
They just nerfed naxx10 this week.
Just wanna make a quick comment about this.
My friends and I just got into naxx last night using only i200 and below gear, and we had only 9 players (missing one dps). We started on Anub'rekhan, whose damage was scaled to the point where our tanks would be one-shot with cleave+autoattack, however, with prot paladin cheat death we were able to survive and clear it.
Grand widow was next, she did one-shot our tank with an autoattack during frenzy, but when we had perfect timing with widow's embrace it was no problem, and we cleared.
We got Maexxna to around 10% before server restarted, so we ended up calling the raid. Maexxna's enrage is definitely overtuned for i200 and below, but our cooldown rotation wasn't perfect, and I expect we'll kill it tonight.
So far, it does seem that boss damage is a little too high for the ilvl that content was designed for originally, but with proper coordination it still seems possible. Also, as far as boss HP scaling, it doesn't seem to be a problem with buffed talents + non-****ty dps players. In fact, I think boss HP scaling may be too low, as we were dominating with only 9 players, but we'll see about other encounters going forward. Will post here with our findings as we continue progression.
edit: second night, 10 players (friend on mage literally wearing greens and greys) downed Maexxna, and all of Military Wing. Seems that Naxx10 has been fixed, or people just need to coordinate and play their classes better. Loving it so far.
