Returning to the server
Hi guys,
I'm returning to Molt... ehm Warmane once again. I used to have a wotlk characters prior "the wipe", but now i'll have to start over and it seems that the server has changes quite a lot. So if you could answer me some questions it will be quite nice:
1) What are the rates(xp,drop, reputation, etc) for each of the wotlk servers?(cant seem to orient myself in the new site)
2) How much is the queue for each of the Wotlk servers in peak hours?(if you can provice for week days and week ends differently it will be nice)
3) Is the "pay to win" still a lead pay model and how heavy it feels in wotlk pvp?(you know these 0.01% chance drop weapons/trinks)
Thanks

Hello ! I am glad to see old veterans returning to the server , welcome back !
About your questions ...
1) Lordaeron is 1x for everything while Icecrown is 7x xp rates 5x gold rates (not sure) drop rates I think they are 1x , rep is 3x or 5x. Basicly Lordaeron is blizzlike ( I am talking about rates , both servers use the same core) and Icecrown is more noob friendly in terms of leveling , rep and gold ( but the economy is broken due to the increased gold rates) .
2)Since Icecrown appeared Lordaeron has maximum queue of 100 people ( and I am talking about weekends , even then , sometimes Lord doesn't reach the 12k cap) while Icecrown (on weekends) has 2500 queue . On weekdays Lord doesn't have any queues , Icecrown has 1000-1500 . ( Also I am talking about peak hours about every server )
3)Lordaeron offers gear in its shop but it only contains gear from the last tier that was available , also the prices are extremely high , so you won't see too much people buying gear in Lord ( Also on Lord's shop they are no legendaries) . Icecrown on the other hand is pay to win , it offers legendaries and a lot of gear pieces on lower prices . I don't know how it feels on pvp though (the impact of p2w ). On Lord I think they only sell pve gear , so it doesn't have an impact on pvp .
Also I want to add that Lordaeron , currently , is on Ulduar content , since its a progressive realm . While Icecrown has all raids and dungeons opened . One last thing , I will recommend you , if you want to do pve go to Lordaeron , in my opinion the progressive release of the content and the difficulty are a nice addition , also want to add that Lord has RDF disabled !
If you want to do pvp go on Icecrown the pvp community there is nice , but the p2w ruins it all , at least for me ...
I hope this will give you answers of your questions and good luck in the World of Warcraft ! :)

Awesome answer!!!!!
Detailed and full.
Loarderon it is. Lower ques, lower rates, less p2w(which btw means pvp is better there - my main focus). What is not to love about it - its all in one?
Thanks a lot dude(or gal ;P ).

No problem man ( and yes I am a dude XD) , it is a honor for me to help new players and veterans alike ! Good luck and have fun in Lordaeron ! Also I cant say if pvp on Lord is better , I focus on pve , so you have to check that by yourself , but yes I assume its better 'cus of less p2w

So I'm migrating also after not playing for a few years, would Lordaeron be able to accommodate characters in item level 277 if they're currently on Ulduar?

1 thing to bare in mind about lord, the raids are buffed well beyond what they were on retail. part of the reason icecrown has such a large queue is do to many leaving lord due to those buffs.
