Hello,
As a player who usually plays from North America & South Eastern Asia, I usually have around 130~300 MS (North America) to even up to 350 MS (Asia).
I am wondering if it is possible to provide a connection point for players from non-European countries. If not, welp. I won't complain as long as I can play!
Why arent we funding this?!
I'm not sure if it's possible to have hosts in different locations hosting the same server, but if it's possible then it would be very expensive.
For example, let's say they buy a host located in The Netherlands and it hosts Icecrown. Possible to have a host in Netherlands and US hosting the same server? - That I have no idea.
But anyways, getting a host in Asia would be too expensive and not worth for them sadly.
The only way it could be accomplished would be similar to a VPN. All connections would still have go to the same server but they could make a connection point in US and send the data to the server in EU through a lower latency route than your internet connection normally would use. But I am not sure how effective that can be and there are some paid VPN services that offer similar service so you can try one of those if you are willing to pay for lower latency and want to check how effective those actually are.
