Point shop in server Icecrown is greatly unbalanced

Hey everyone! I'm a level 80 hpally on the server Icecrown, and I've finally got enough points for a piece of gear, and because I'm a hpally I need a 1h mace and a 1h shield for the optimal healing stats, but when i go to the store and want to spend my points, the 1h weapon costs equally as much as a 2-handed sword, which means i have to spend TWICE the points for the same gear as every other class such as druids who only need a 2h-staff. This is in my opinion ridiculous and dumb, can anyone explain why it is so? and if Warmane plan to change this anytime soon?

If you were to legitimately farm for your sword and shield in-game, wouldn't you need to farm for two items, while someone going for a two-hander or a staff would farm for one?
