I think that's normal. Interrupt their cast or go fight inside the huts.
Yeah, it's been a known problem for a year already I think. And I don't think it's normal to toss you up that high. Just hide inside a hut. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
if I remember correctly once we could at least interrupt his cast with a cc (like a stun) but now you can not interrupt it anymore
