Hi!! I care about my gold. What do you guys think is the best thing to invest on before the gold squish? Im thinking about hoarding primos or mats. But everyone must be thinking the same thing. The supply of primos and some particular mats would go high and im scared the price would go super low inevitably.
I will for for blacksmith materials myself.. The price hardly ever changes.. they're slow to get rid of after the gold squash though.Quote:

it's actually going to be rather bad after the squish because if most people put their gold somewhere else, everyone will have a load of valuables and noone will have any gold... so it's going to be more of a "mm I'll trade you my BoE item and some misc materials for your craft BoE item" scene for a long time until people get gold back and things start shifting back toward the gold for item side
the best thing is to take some time off, focus on irl work, take a vacation
and come back after the ****storm's over

Step 2 - Buy all the stuff you put off buying (mounts, pets, fun stuff!)
Step 3 - Don't care about your gold number. It's virtual currency, and unless you spend it, hoarding it does nothing. Why have 500k gold, and not spend it on anything? What's the point? Just to say you have 500k gold for the LULZ? Put that money back into the economy, and maybe we wouldn't be in this position.
thing is though, there's nothing wrong with the economy at it's current state. this whole fiasco is about getting more donation moneyQuote:

I actually beg to differ... the fact that there are very little profession mats on the AH at lower levels shows the economy is being driven by max level characters. I'm talking about prices for those mats being relative to 80s buying/selling rather than someone of the equal level of said material. For example, the price of tough leather is way higher than a normal level 40 could afford, or should have to pay. Why? Because the economy for it, is being driven by max level characters who have thousands of gold to spare. Not by level 40s who are acquiring those materials while leveling and selling excess on the AH. Sure, it's great for sellers, but really tough on buyers, unless you can compete with the mass amounts of gold that people have acquired over time.Quote:

ICC boes used to sell for tens of thousands, but with the upped drop rate, prices are dropping to the thousands and hundreds.
but ofc such convenience for the players would never happen now
