Leveling routes/guides?

So I just started on this 7x server(used to play a bit on Lordaeron), and I am wondering what route people go for leveling?

At the moment I am a poor lvl 25 Hunter, wondering how I should approach the leveling "challenge". My current challenge is just trying to find gear to use.

Do people grind mobs for a few levels in each zone?

Dungeons?

Few quests in X location?

I used gears from vendor until level 60. Just let my bear do the work.

Once 60, I went to Outland and quickly got away from Thrallmar area(avoiding gank) and upgrade items from quests.

At 70, I went to Howling Fjord(again avoiding gank in Borean Tundra) and continue with quests.

I picked up Skinning and Mining along the way. It should be enough to buy flying mount in Thrallmar.
