Icecrown queue optimization

Hello.
in the past weeks i have seen a lot of queue for entering the Icecrown realm, sometimes up to 1500!. that's around 2 or 3 hours waiting.. just to log into the game!
to be honest.. i think we can all agree that are a LOT of AFK's in the realm (just go into dalaran, or any capital city and you will see a lot of them)
im not asking the server to increase the cap.. but could we reduce or readjust the afk kicking system? maybe for the "rush hours"? that way maybe we can make queue times shorter without spliting/merging or readjusting population.. we would just be kicking the afk'ers to let other, more active players be inside...

Agreeing with this, if you play this a lot, for free, at least give like 10 bucks or so. Its just common courtesy, and youll skip the queue as a bonus.

what would be the diference between donating here and paying to play the retail version then?

srry for not being rich in my country.. because.. you know.. we're not all from USA, and for some of us spending as little as 10 dollars might seem like a lot for just a game..

edit: plus, if this would be a "pay or feel the consecuences" that looks more like extorsion to me... no one is forced to pay, and having an answer of "pay to avoid queues" goes against that, and i quoute: "Donations are voluntary"

If they aren't getting money from you then you aren't being extorted.
If you had been extorted then you wouldn't be *****ing about the queue.

BTW there are no threats, infact, you get a more legitimate blizzlike experience of sitting in a queue.

Then you have no right to complain about the queue. Paying 10€ once is not that much, even for a third world country.

If there were no donations, there wouldnt be no private servers, simple as that. Its what keeps the server running from shutting down. They probably have to spend 3000-4000$ a month for the hosting etc.

Just donate and thats it. 10$ is really nothing no matter where you live. Also regarding the afk system, no matter what they put in place, there are soooo many ways to bypass AFK system so that wouldnt actually help. The only thing that would help is increasing the server cap but as we know that is impossible unfortunately.

queue optimizations are coming in the form of changes that will reduce the playerbase like 1x profs and reverting points store just hold out a little longer.

Not to mention it hasn't come down yet from the icecrown rag/dw merger hype coupled with Lordaeron dying as people went back home.

Give it a few more months..

You ask what the difference is between this and retail if you pay here 10 euros?

You don't have to buy the previous games + wotlk expansion.
You have to donate 10 euros once instead of paying every month 13 euros. (which means this is cheaper even than just 1 month on retail)
You get to skip the queue forever.
You can get coins. I believe you know what these are and what for they exist.

donations are voluntary, but if you don't want to wait to log in than a 1 time donation is what you must do. otherwise enjoy the wait or play on lord.

if there was a 30 min queue.. ok.. thats fine.. but waiting for 3 or 4 hours makes it impossible.. imagine.. 3 of 4 hours of waiting time PLUS another 2 o 3 for a single raid.. you need 7 free hours.. plus.. imagine that you need to wait 3 or 4 hours of queue just to get inside a building.. if it was ONCE per week or month, fine, you would do it.. but would you wait 3 or 4 hours EVERY DAY?. i bet you wouldnt. "pay to skip" is not the solution to this.

by the way, i think this post went from "lets improve queue times" to "pay to avoid them" and thats not the point.

To skip the queue in Icecrown permanently you only need to pay 10 euros once, in retail you have to pay every month. This is the difference in case you haven't realized yet.
Don't come with excuses that you can't afford it, if you can eat, dress, use water, electricity, use internet, you surely can waste 10 euros in your lifetime. That's just few less pizzas and beers and you're exactly the same.
