Can't login

So I haven't been playing for about 2-3 months now and when I opened the game today to play it, I couldn't log in. When I type in my username and password it says "Connecting" for a few seconds before changing to "Unable to connect. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact technical support at: -link to support-" Should I download battle.net and log in there or something? I'm just thinking of anything possible that I could've done before that I'm not doing now for it to not log me in. I also don't have a realmlist in my WoW folder.

It might be an issue with the firewall / antivirus.
Also, is your realmlist set to logon.warmane.com?

Yes, my realmlist is set to that.
I deleted the game and I'm downloading it again now, I hope this will somehow fix it.

That is the best thing you can do.
Can you reach logon.warmane.com by ping'ing it? If so, then there is only the firewall stuff left.

I'm a bit confused, what would ping'ing it mean? :o
