So as you know in new year warmane will reduce all of our golds
what do you think should we do ?
1: Spend all of our golds on stuff and store them ?
2: Sell more stuff and make more gold since people have more gold right now and can afford your items in AH and ...?
So far the effects of this announcement have been crazy on the economy. Rare mats have become extinct on the AH. Lower level mats are being sold for 4 times the price. End game mats are sold for thousands which previously cost hundreds. People are hoarding mats causing a heavy shortage and loss of cash flow. Those who can afford are buying off vendor items, black market items. Others cant even afford flying and training or enchantments. This will be far worse after the gold squish. Mats will make a comeback and along with the finished goods at double the previous rates to make up for the gold loss all while the spawn rate of rare mats including(Snow Lily, Fools Cap, Fel iron ore, northrend ores, northrend herbs) remains pretty rare. Gold squish will cause more problems then it will fix. I suggest you buy all the enchantments and gems you need beforehand while they are cheap or level your own professions(which is worse since the reduced xp rate from 7x to 3x). R.i.P. Economy.
Spending gold would just solve your problem. This kinda throws it in another player, since he gets your gold and has to spend it on something else. In the end all the gold that's supposed to be halved will meet it's end, but it's basically pointless.
