Lordaeron and its dificulty
Hello Warmane comunity,
I've been thinking about something these days while wasting my time on youtube seeing all the hype for ****** and I really wanted to talk to somebody about my curiosity...so why not with the entire server, right? I'm a noob, a casual, a whatever. I've started playing in TBC, but got to experience very little of it, then Wrath came up...I still have not finished Icecrown, because pugs and because reasons.
I love Wrath because of the lore, because of the zones, the features(dual wield-i've played tbc on Excalibur for a while and I felt the dual wield absence), everything.
HERE IS THE MAIN THING:
Why people are leaving Lordaeron? Or better said, why so many left?-and you'd say that Icc is easier in terms of lvling and that raids and insanely buffed on Lordaeron but hear me out-.
I've never played Vanilla, neither am I very interested in it but I've watched a lot of videos about it, about pvp, about raiding, lvling and so on. It was a great game and I understand the hype for it from those who want to play it again. The thing is, Vanilla kept you busy, you had to grind a lot to get something, a lot of time was needed-and of course the main part was played by the comunity. Woltk is considered by many a more...casual expansion, if we're talking about dedicated raiders of course. Warmane is a private server...Woltk is what is, it does not get more, after ICC is up on Lordaeron that's it, an infinite cycle(don't get me wrong, I love all that this cycle has). In the Lordaeron realm Warmane did something that I think was meant to keep players busy more...like they were in Vanilla(or tbc for that matter). The buffs to raids require better gear so you have to grind more before you can start it to begin with and also, the raid is not "Easy" and yes, no new mechanics, but Vanilla was all about numbers as well in raids. I think it's a shame people are so hasty in getting the best gear.. because is nothing more after that, making it harder promotes a long period of playing and having more chances to meet new people and enjoy the game.
I'm curios about your oppinions, for real, because I met some great people on this server and I've really enjoyed playing on it so far. This whole topic comes from a player worried that a server that's as good as Lordaeron is, might die over time and it does not really makes much sense to me... Anyway, no offense to anyone playing Icecrown, I'm glad people have options to chose from and to enjoy the game as they desire.
^^
