Death Knight & Shadowmourne Procs

This is a request from the staff for a bit of assistance.
We're looking into how Shadowmourne should proc for Death Knights. By that, I mean we're doing research on whatever possible sources of how the proc worked on retail.

Right now, the primary concern is if the weapon should proc with Icy Touch. Possible information about Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blade would also be useful.

Please keep in mind that we feel that wowwiki is not a completely reliable source of information, as we have found other sources of information that contradict what wowwiki states on the issue.

For example, in these videos we haven't seen Icy Touch proc the effect of the weapon.

Any additional sources that can confirm or deny whether it should proc on Icy Touch would be appreciated.
We also currently have no data about Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blade than wowwiki as well.

So about SM and Necrosis spell and Blood-Caked Blade, this is how SM procs" Soul Fragments can be gained from any auto attack, including off hand swings. They can also be gained from any ability that simulates a weapon swing, regardless of whether or not it deals damage" icy touch is not a weapon swing even tho it does apply as melee class ability. blood caked is an extra auto attack that does weapon damage. As for Necrosis, take example Scourge strike, it has 2shard proc because it does shadow damage and physical damage in 1 swing, Necrosis simulates the same thing from auto attacks. So in the end, Icy Touch doesn't proc shard but Necrosis and BCB does.

P.S Also just to mention things like " I heard, friend of my friend told maybe it's like this or that" won't really work, having solid evidence to back up your statement or source would be much appreciated.

To be specific, the PPM rate got fixed this morning and it is applied on the realm. The only thing we're wondering about is the spells that trigger it.

This is a prime example of Wowpedia and Wowwiki can be unfortunately very incorrect.

Not a single proc on Icy Touch. If anyone else has any opposing evidence, please do share. Otherwise we will mark the weapon as completely fixed (latest fixes not exactly live, regarding double proc on some spells).

We went thru those things, that is thru wowwiki. Also searching for retail SM but as you may know on retail having SM was something hard to achieve so not the easiest way to get correct videos.

I mean for example this one is from retail but its bad quality and the person is blood dk so we will only see spells like ds,hs,ps,it and dc.

i'm quite aware of the ability for Fury warriors to be able to use two two handers, but this subject isn't about fury warriors so coping and pasting something like that makes it irrelevant. further more it has to do with DEATH KNIGHT'S abilities and talents. sorry but the copy pasta has no defense. trying to defend it makes you look silly. Fury warriors have no basis when the discussion is about how a weapon or proc affects a death knight. please do not defend this.

lastly my question is ****ing direct and pointed. its clear its concise you can't mistake it with another class.
