I suggest that you should be kicked out of the character selection screen after about 30 min - 1 hour atleast. This would help with shortening the queue.
The fact that you can afk for like 5 hours before actually getting kicked is quite absurd.
Let players that actually want to play right now have a chance to do so.
I'm premium so I don't get affected by queues, but this suggestion is miles ahead of those "Increase population cap" bull**** we see everyday. +1 from me.
What business you have with what I'm doing with my playtime?

For Icecrown: Why not just lower the cap by 2,000 and open up a twin server? This server has a "full" time of 12 hours already. I tried getting in during the "early" peak time (6AM my time) and it took me over an hour to get in. Either the AFK system needs revised or another server would be beneficial for growth. Atm, not having another option limits the growth of this private server and affects possible revenue. Someone might see the que and be deterred. My argument is based on happier players = donations. Since Icecrown is their "big" server, it might be beneficial to invest in its future. Just my 2c.
