Xpac Transfers

Hello,

I noticed the Realm Transfer FAQs were written almost a year ago. I can't seem to find a topic posted on this subject, so I was wondering: Will expansion transfers ever come available for coin purchase? I am currently playing on WotLK, and after completing the content, it would be a cool option to be able to transfer to the next xpac's content and continue on. This gives the opportunity to truly play EACH expacs content, end-game level capped..

I just think this would be a really cool service. Many people have their favorite xpac, but coming from someone who has never played end-game content on all 3 xpacs offered, it would be really neat to be able to cap, raid, pvp, rep grind, mount runs, etc.. each xpac, then xfer, and start the next content, as if it were just released.

they are alreayd thinking to that, basically a "copy-paste" feature to allow you to copy your character to the next xpac

some weeks ago a guy opened a thread like this on Realm suggestion section and a staff member said more or less what I said before.
As I have already said they were thinking to do soemthing like that, so it is not 100% sure they are gonna do it.

We'd like to, and we have a discussion thread in the premium section of the forum for input - as it would be a donation-only feature. But yes, we would like to allow WotLK->Cata->MoP. Not the reverse though, and I'm saying this because I know there are people who have asked about wanted to backwards in expansions.

I totally agree with having it as a donors-only type of service.

No, because there are some who aren't donors that want to transfer. Donors already have a refund policy for bought items, let's not make transfer donor-only too.
If someone among the community wants to leave his xpac for another, so be it. Also this should be open to all levels and classes due to many having low level banks and alts they need moved.

transfers should be for max level characters for that expansion, and require a high number of achievement points, showing you've actually done most of your current expansions content. and if free players want to transfer they can either donate and pay for it, or they can start over a new expansion. warmane should not cater anything to those who cannot be bothered to support the server.

That didn't stop low levels from transferring before, why should it remain the same?
But that is my opinion and of those I spoke to on mop. Are reasons why some would like to transfer their low levels, for instance, I am from the twink community and a majority of them are eager to move their level 10s from wotlk and cata to mop. The community itself has taken mny blows from warmane changes and singling them out again will just hurt it some more.


If anything, if the player's account has a good amount of achievements, they should be able to transfer, if they are going about doing this, then they should, but let transfers be open to all levels from all communities on warmane instead of singling them out again, which happen, and which caused said communities to reduce in numbers.

Also you have to take into account of those who are not donors, single them out for those that donate will contradict what was said in the older twitch videos from a few months back when it comes to decision making. No one wants to be singled out, especially something such as transfers.

This feature is being discussed in the Premium section for the very reason of it being either donor-only or, at the very least, coin-only.

That feature exists because mistakes can happen. It's unrealistic to allow people to spend money and not have some sort of way to correct accidental purchasing of the wrong item(s). It's unreasonable to use that feature against them.
With that said, the feature will be a donor/coin-only service, and that is not up for debate.
