I'm curious to know how we keep bringing population in. I may have overlooked it, but it seems I can't see us on the private server lists, ie. Xtremetop100 etc. I know voting isn't going on anymore so that's why, but what sites do have Warmane on it if there is any?
I'm sure the dodgy video helps a lot.
Those who play on any private servers already know us, and those who just starting to play WoW on private servers find us easily though Google search, WoW Servers subreddit or just through our social media pages.
Doesn't Openwow belong to Warmane?
Why don't u advertise the server there?
Not sure, but I once uploaded a top 10 things to know about private servers, noting Warmane as the basis for my knowledge. That video gains 100 views a day and is sitting at close to 20k having been uploaded 8 months ago. I'm sure all those views don't just come from Warmane players, so maybe youtube searches for private servers sometimes hit on videos like mine and bring more players into the fold.
Warmanes previous name was Molten. They used private servers list. Once they gained huge popularity they deleted their server from lists. After moltdown they merged with Arena-Tournament and they created Warmane. Pretty much everyone knew Molten and they just kept talking about it and warmaneQuote:

Actually, it's not legal to compare Warmane and Molten.
Molten was bugged unstable project full of cheaters.
Warmane is like absolutely new project quality wise.
Icecrown realm is full of scripters that doesn't even get banned if you report them. Every 2nd warrior scripting his *** off and even if they get banned its 7 days only wich should be perma like on old AT.Quote:

It was normal to join SoTA and observe flying demolishers, or bots flying in sholazar among trees.

Let's be real, Molten was a big trashcan compare to current Warmane.

It isn't possible to get Loremaster now either unless you were lucky and happened to get it done as quests were being fixed, before a lot broke again. There are still flying demos, there was one the other day in Wintergrasp, and still tons and tons of bots and people teleport hacking in stealth to each vein and herb which is REALLY hard to catch. Those sites were just unreliable, especially with people trying to find exploits in a daily basis. One of the reasons for our charity realm (no vote/coins shop) being turned into a standard one, was to find out four months later that not a SINGLE soul voted for it. Because clicking is very tiresome etc. We had to have a system in which if people wanted vote points, they would need to work for it. When Warmane grew to be the most populated wotlk server they didn't need those homepages (who cheated) anymore to support their playerbase, infact a bigger player base might sound good, but we allready had huge queus, and to open another realm is expensive and takes time.
Offtopic though this PQR **** is really destroying the game, Imo getting full wrathfull is much harder and much more annoying then any end game pve items, only a few really good enough can get full wrathfull geared, (because not every team can go 2200 duuuh) and almost everyone is getting compleately run over by one of these bots with 0,01 sec reaction to counter your spells.
People are getting really, I mean REALLY heavy banns on cheating their way to get end game pve items, because it should be a challange to get those items.
But PQR abusers who gets full wrathfull in arenas gets of very easy compared to the items they actually get.
Example:
(A player in a raid cheats to heavily help the raid to kill the boss, the item he needs dosen't even drop... Heavy ban)
(A player uses PQR in arenas, still have all his arena points and rating... heavily reduced ban)
I know its hard to spot and Im not trying to bash any of the staff or this server, but this is a huge problem.
