Item level reduction for items acquirable by points brought us to the point in which we don't have anything good to spend our points on.. No good gear to work towards, no heirlooms, no mounts, nothing really interesting.. This is making the whole system neglectable and that isn't something that we want. My suggestion is that you should add some of the above mentioned items into the points store in order to return some value to the system.

You can neglect the system if you want, or you can use it to avoid running so much PoS/FoS/HoR farms for your alts.
Personally I was sorta pissed when they added i264/i271... but when they removed it again I looked through my purchase logs and realized that it had saved me over 200 coins in donations ;)
The main winners with the vote system now are those going for titles for raiding in uld10/uld25 gear etc
