Can't log in

I haven't been able to log in for 2 days. It just says "Could not connect"
Help, anyone?

I was playing last night but as of today I'm getting the same error. I had also changed the "WTF" folder to not be Read-Only so that my settings would save but now it isn't saving anymore. Help?

Edit: I shut down my PC for about 10 minutes while I showered. When I turned it back on I was able to log in successfully.
