WOTLK not downloading patch

New here, so I went to the download last night and downloaded "Wrath of The Lich King" expansion and the mac version. So I tried to get on this morning I logged in and it was trying to download a patch and it told me to click the restart button and so I clicked it. Then it said "Failed to apply patch. Please try again later. If this problem persists you may need to reinstall or contact technical support." I don't know what patch I would need to download since I had just downloaded it last night. Any suggestions or can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I am an *****. Thank you so much! Also is there a forums post about how to download addons? Also are all of the servers the same? I know on some other private servers some are like x80 bonus xp others aren't.
